About Us
Denton C.A.R.E.S. is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting local treatment courts and their participants. Recognizing potential grant funding often has limitations, Denton C.A.R.E.S. focuses on raising supplemental resources to meet immediate and long-term needs of participants engaged in substance use recovery, mental health treatment, and reentry services. Denton C.A.R.E.S. ensures that treatment court participants receive the comprehensive support they need to succeed.
Community Involvement
Community involvement and public education are cornerstones for Denton C.A.R.E.S. Our regional events raise awareness and reduce stigma around addiction and recovery, including participation in North Texas Overdose Awareness Day. Join us in honoring lives lost to overdose and reinforcing the commitment to prevention, compassion, and change.
Our Vision
All specialty court participants have access to the resources needed to succeed. We see a future where recovery, rehabilitation, and restoration are fully supported at every stage of the process. The community wins when recovery is understood, embraced, and supported through education, awareness, and resources resulting in compassion and long-term healing.

Kevin is the Program Manager for the Denton County Drug Treatment Court. He previously worked as a probation officer for over 20 years. Kevin is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.

Clover is one of the probation officers for the Denton County Drug Treatment Court. She supervises participants and reports progress and violations to the judges. Clover has worked in community corrections for over 10 years.

George is a criminal defense lawyer in Denton County. He is passionate about advocating for his clients. George has been an attorney for over 10 years and is also a co-founder of R.O.O. (Reacting to Opioid Overdose).

Justin is a prosecutor in the Denton County District Attorney's Office. He is the prosecutor for multiple specialty courts in Denton County including the Drug Treatment Court and Veterans Court. Justin has been with the District Attorney's Office for over twenty years.
